Holy Week and Easter at KUMC

We will resume in-person worship services on Palm Sunday, March 28.

Palm Sunday marks the start of Holy Week with the remembrance Jesus’ entry into Jerusalem with palm branches. Bring a lawn chair or a picnic blanket and a mask and take part in a worship service with Holy Communion at 9 AM. In case of rain, we will meet in the family life center. After the service, the children will lead a bicycle/scooter parade around the church grounds and will be invited to an egg hunt. Online Palm SUnday worship will take place at 11 AM and be available on Facebook and You Tube.

Thursday, April 1 is Maundy Thursday, the day on which we remember Jesus’ Last Supper with his disciples. Stop by the church anytime after 4 PM and experience a walking prayer trail around the church with interactive prayer stations.

Friday, April 2 is Good Friday. We will have a special service at 7 pm on zoom during which we will retell the story of the crucifixion in Scripture and song. Details and Zoom link will be posted in the church newsletter.

On Easter Sunday, April 4, join us for joyous services celebrating the resurrection. We will have a sunrise service at 7 am, a courtyard service at 9 am, and an online service at 11 am. The United Methodist Women will share brunch bags after the 9am service. Bring a lawn chair or a picnic blanket, a mask, and a joyful spirit.
