Feed your Soul at Dinner Church

We gather in the Family Life Center on the second Wednesday of every month for Dinner Church, and everyone is welcome.

We start gathering at 5:30 and serve a simple meal. It’s provided by the church and its all free – just come enjoy. The menu varies, but we always make sure to have vegetarian options, desserts, and plenty to share. Kids of all ages are welcome and will find new friends. Come anytime – serving continues until about 6:30.

United Methodists love to sing! We have live music at dinner church and try to include a song everyone can sing together. It’s good for the soul. After dinner, the pastor reads a Scripture and gives a short message. We allow lots of time for conversation around the table. Methodists love to say we have “open hearts, open minds and open doors,” so we love to listen to what others have to say, whether you know the Bible from cover to cover or church is a brand new thing for you.

We are now giving out groceries from the Hays County Food Bank each month for anyone who needs a little help. Dinner church winds down and the food pantry opens at 6:30, but people are welcome to stay and visit.

On November 13, we will serve a Thanksgiving buffet, and on December 11, we’ll have chili (and Frito pies). Sign ups for food contributions and set up help are available at church or in our weekly newsletter. Or just show up – we’ll put you to work!
